Joshua Tree National Park - California
Now is the time of year when we make use of the national parks and forests in the southern part of the country. The weather is perfect this time of year in the deserts and mountains of the southern tier of states in our great country. Joshua Tree is southern California is one of these parks. We have not been here in a few years, so it is about time to go back. This is a great desert park. You have to drive into it, stop often to get a really good look, and camp overnight to get an idea of what this park has to offer. This time of year, the temperatures are between 85 and 50 degrees. The night skies are wonderful for all of us stargazers!
We love this park. We camped here about this time of year and were all alone in the park, as far as we could tell. The night temperatures made our three-season tent and warm sleeping bags 
very comfortable. We had a campfire most nights and cooked our meals over the campfire or on our camping stove. This is a great fall camping spot.
